Breaking Fiberglass

Postby okie airboater on Wed Apr 02, 2008 2:14 am

Last Saturday I took my boat out for the first time and had a great 2 hours getting used to it. Then on loading my boat I was letting my boat drift on to the trailer when a wave hit me from behind and shoved my boat about 6 inches forward hard enough to rupture the nose of of my boat, I am including a picture of how the nose of my boat is made. I was wondering if there is a type of stiff rubber guard that that I could buy to protect the nose of my boat or any suggestions would certainly be helpful.

well I got my problem solved and fixed. I used some strap steel and found some rubber made a bumper. reenforced the nose acroos with the combination. put it to the test and it worked. windy day yesterday, hit the roolers on the trailer agin, and nothing broke. bounced pretty good. I'll post a pictur tomorrow night when I get home from work.
