Rockport Reds 4/12-13

This weekend I joined Ross Fields on a mission to get some Reds on topwaters this weekend.

I had a blast! SAturday morning was rough. About 30mph winds, and tough fishing. Saturday evening when the winds dies down a bit is when it started to get good. About 6pm ross and I find a shore line that has a few reds on it. We ended up hooking about 5 reds on this shoreline with a gold spoon and a redfish magic spinner bait. Also on Satuday we found a dead 30 inch trout. Sunday morning we get up, and the weather is awesome. Find some fish on a flat, and Ross caught a trout and a red on topwater. We then move to another island and catch 2 reds. Then we go to East Flats and drift it. We ended up having about 10 blow ups on our topwaters before they would eat it. Finally they commit and we start hammering the reds. Also caught a trout. Sure was a great time!
